Headphone (1) design shown off at event

So I woke up today, and haven’t heard a lot of buzz around the Headphones (1)s. But that was only weird to me because I knew that the Better Listening event was active. So I checked their IG story and low and behold, the Headphone (1).

But coincidentally, renders have also leaked.

These look super cool in my opinion! I was wondering if the latest design leak was of the Headphone (1), and I was right. This is the one I’m talking about:

pollenjh i would rather buy Fractal Design’s Scape (picture posted below) head phone which looks way much good looking than this abomination. whoa such a fugly looking head phone. look nothing like anything NOTHING TECH will make. What happened to you NOTHING COMPANY. FIRE YOUR DESIGN TEAM

pollenjh yes I buy these asap. Just imagine Kefs sound design with nothings system and functions. Nothing really don’t hide their true aesthetic with this piece, really bold and mega futuristic in their own iconic way. Pure inspiration. I’ll take WHITE!

CyanTechPro I can see why, but to me this just looks more polished with less going on. Funny how the official design is more offensive than fan renders to most people. Wonder why they went for this shape specifically, though…

I’m getting the 3a pro leak vibes , first off all at the launch , i didn’t like the design module. But now it’s my favourite.

Clearly, Nothing wants their headphones to stand out—and that’s understandable. I’m fine with this polarizing design, as long as it doesn’t come at the cost of comfort or ease of use.

What actually concerns me is whether this design adds unnecessary weight to the ear cups (even a few grams can affect comfort) and prevents the headphones from being foldable, resulting in a bulkier carrying case. I’d be quite disappointed if Nothing compromised on these aspects for a design that isn’t even universally appreciated.

tharun Yeah. Ignoring design completely, it has still got to be a good product. I trust that they didn’t compromise comfort and durability for this design. To me it looks like they have good swivel and might be foldable. Swivel is a must, but it being foldable isn’t a make or break for me, just an added plus.

Design looks disoriented to eyes like my mind can’t adjust to the concept circle on top of rectangle whatever concept it is and I ask this question everytime I look at it, Am I wearing circle(rounded edges of rectangle) headphones or rectangular headphones, I expected much more. I’m a designer myself so I’m more into symmetry balance and less is better
