You may have seen @Carl’s post over on X about our latest Nothing Gallery update - in case you missed it, all the details below:
At the end of last year, with Nothing OS 3.0, we launched our native Nothing Gallery app. Today, we’re expanding it with a new built-in editing feature.
What’s new:
• Basic Adjustments: 6 cropping + rotation tools
• Colour Grading: 12 tuning parameters
• Filters: 10 Nothing-designed filters, intensity from 0–100
• Video: Trim clips, adjust volume (0–100) and adjust slow-motion video speed

Third-party gallery apps are made for every device - optimised for none; resulting in slower performance, inconsistent design, and often annoying ads and upsells. As a native app, Gallery is tightly integrated with our hardware and camera pipeline. Transitioning from the camera to Gallery is now over 20% faster, with image processing up to 25% quicker.

It also enables AI photo categorisation and a unified visual experience. From typography to icons to motion, every element feels native to Nothing. For instance, Image Cutout is powered by our Dot Engine animation, creating a distinct interaction when you long-press a subject.

Now, we’re taking it further with a native photo and video editor.

You can fine-tune key image parameters - contrast, white balance, tone curve, and more - at full resolution with close to zero compression or quality loss. Everything is processed locally on-device, with no metadata removed or hidden post-processing. Subtle haptic feedback is built into every tool, making each adjustment precise and intuitive.

Ultra XDR images retain HDR data via embedded gain maps in JPEG. Most third-party apps flatten this. Our editor preserves it completely, so what you see is exactly what you captured.

Privacy is built in. No cloud uploads, no forced accounts, no subscriptions. Just clean, high-fidelity editing that stays on your device.
The update begins rolling out on the Google Play Store today and will continue through tomorrow. And this is just the beginning; more exciting features are in the works.
