Here’s my experience with the CMF Phone 2 Pro, as part of the Nothing Community Review Program. This isn’t a deep dive into specs, but an honest look at what stood out to me after using it for 4 weeks. The good, the in-between, and what made it feel personal. ⬇
⚠️ A heads-up
This isn’t a specs-loaded, orthodox review. I’m a designer who enjoys tech that works well & is uniquely cool. You’ll find feelings over numbers here. I may have missed some things, but what’s here is real, and that counts.
📦 What’s in the box? (Indian variant)

- CMF Phone 2 Pro (with pre-applied screen protector)
- Clear phone case
- 33W CMF Power Adapter
- USB Type C-C cable
- Orange SIM ejector tool
- Usual documentation
YES, A POWER ADAPTER AND A CLEAR CASE! 🏆
📱 Display
The AMOLED screen is bright, sharp, smooth & held up well outdoors even under direct sun. Scrolling feels super fluid, thanks to 120Hz refresh rate. Media looks crisp & the bezels are symmetrical. Honestly? It never made me think about the screen & that’s a good thing.

🧊 Design
CMF by Nothing nailed the design, again. It’s the slimmest & lightest Nothing phone with a personality. On the light green variant, I liked the texture, but it shines a bit weird in direct light. It doesn’t try to feel flagship, but it still feels so good in hand. 🤌

🧩 Modularity
This was expected. The back panel is now (more) modular. I didn’t swap parts, but knowing you could adds a layer of personal creativity. The back panel CAD file was made public for 3D-printing. It’s subtle innovation, & I’m curious to see where it goes.

Accessories attach via a magnetic “Universal Cover”, like a wallet/stand or macro lens. Visible screws & dial add to the industrial charm. Very thoughtful and unique.
⚙️ Performance
It handled my daily use smoothly. Work, music, streaming, camera, maps, social media- all without any fuss. I don’t game a lot, but I have heard it gives 120fps in BGMI.
IT. JUST. WORKS. Without heating up & slowing down- thanks to the Dimensity 7300 Pro chip.
🔋 Battery
More than solid-5000mAh. One full charge easily got me through the day with ~20–30% to spare, always. Charging is fast enough (33W) to never feel like a chore. No wireless charging, but I never missed it. The battery on this phone is the last thing to worry about.
🚀 Essential Space + Key
My favourite Nothing feature. One key to quickly save ideas, reminders, links, or just voice notes & Essential Space neatly collects them. It’s built around how people actually think & use their phone. Genuinely helps me a lot, especially at work.

🧠 Nothing OS 3.2
Clean, responsive, & distraction-free. The lockscreen widgets are super useful, & overall, the OS feels intentional. It is so well-optimised that it keeps the processor cool & the user happy.
- The new Private Space is brilliant: hide apps, media & files with a separate lock & access it by swiping right on the app drawer.
- App Locker now allows you to set a new privacy password for locked apps if you choose not to use the device screen lock.

📷 Camera + Presets
The new triple camera setup feels tuned for everyday use. It includes a 50MP main, 50MP Telephoto & 8MP Ultra-wide. Colours look more natural compared to my Phone (2).
Video recording supports 4K 30fps, 1080p 30/60fps with EIS.
The real fun? Presets. Think of them as editable real-time filters you can share & even create. They make casual photography feel a bit more personal & playful.

💾 Storage & Memory
8GB RAM feels snappy enough for everyday tasks- All hail Nothing OS’ optimisation.
It comes in 2 storage variants: 128GB & 256GB.
But the best part? It has expandable storage up to 2TB in the SIM2 slot! Yes, 2TB!
⚖️ Verdict
The CMF Phone 2 Pro feels like a phone designed for daily life, not just launch-day hype. Practical & even a little fun. It doesn’t pretend to be more than it is. But what it is, it does really well & that’s more than enough for a cool-looking budget phone.

There aren’t many budget phones priced at around INR 20,000 which will make you snub a more expensive mid-range or a flagship. But the CMF Phone 2 Pro just might if you love the Nothing experience as much as I do.
It is THAT “bang for the buck” device. ✅
And again, special thanks to @Deepanshu_Saini_ for another successful Community Review Program & to the Nothing India team for giving us, everyday users, an opportunity to share unfiltered insights of your products. 😄
