The CMF Watch app is moving to Nothing X

You’ll soon be able to manage your watch directly from Nothing X, alongside your audio products. Starting June 27, we’re launching a public beta of Nothing X with full support for Watch Pro and Watch Pro 2. To try it early, search for “Nothing X” on Google Play and join the beta programme. Once enrolled, you’ll receive the beta version as a regular app update. It is recommended to unbind your CMF Watch from the CMF Watch app before connecting it to the Nothing X app. > **Note:** *The beta programme is limited in capacity. 1,000 trial spots will be available initially. The number of beta participants may gradually increase based on ongoing feedback and system performance. If you are unable to join on the first day, we encourage you to try again later in the week. Please note: In the original CMF Watch app, the Daily Activity section only displayed data from the connected device. In the beta version, data from both Watch Pro and Watch Pro 2 will be combined. If you wear both watches in a single day, your activity data may appear higher than usual. During pairing, a “Data Migration Guide” will automatically appear. This guide will help you transfer your data from the CMF Watch app to Nothing X. Once the migration begins, your CMF Watch app account will be deactivated, and you will not be able to log back into it. You can choose to migrate data from October 2023 up to the current month. The following data will be transferred: * Workout records * Daily activity, sleep, heart rate, blood oxygen, stress * Active score and training load (Watch Pro 2 only) * Fitness goals Some data will not be carried over, including nickname, avatar, height, weight, and female health data. We strongly recommend that you re-enter this data in the Nothing X app to ensure accuracy. Because these values are closely linked to your physiological information, the default values may not reflect your actual data. Custom watch faces will also not be migrated and can be set up again. If you run into any issues, you can report them directly through the app. Go to My Page › Support › My Devices › Send Feedback. Please make sure to include both app logs and firmware logs to help the team review your report. The official release of Nothing X with full Watch Pro and Watch Pro 2 support is planned for July. After launch, updates will continue regularly to improve performance and add features. The CMF Watch app will remain available until July 2026, giving everyone enough time to switch. We’d love for you to try it early and share your feedback.

I signed up for the beta program today and all the signing up and binging stuff went fine. I saw it said data migration could take 7 days. I had another message soon after which i thought said migration was completed. But I don’t see any details of past activities.

Also, I was disappointed to see that again there is no distance shown on the app with your daily activity in miles or Kms. This was a major fault with the CMF app. Will this be restored when the full version is released does anyone know please? Lastly, will there be more watch faces released for Watch Pro 1? But so far it looks good.

RohitPakalapati The new app is great but every time I my watch disconnects and I come near my phone it acts as if I’m pairing the watch for the first time and I get a message on both my phone and watch telling me to pair the watch and that “I’ve never paired this device before”, when I did. Does anyone else have this problem? I have a CMF Watch Pro 2 and a Nothing Phone 3a Pro.

megatomic I did move over to the Nothing X app and wow the entire experience of having and using a CMF WP2 is just so much better. I used it all weekend long and never once lost connection and notification syncing worked so well. Good job to the software engineering team that made this happen.

megatomic That’s weird then. Seems like only I am having connection issues here. Aside from that, the app experience is so much better and has way more options.

Please allow the watch faces to be programmable i.e add an option for custom watch faces so user can just send the files to the watch app and it’ll work!

Since the “Send feedback” option isn’t available to me for some reason, I’m gonna share a little annoyance over here.

I do not want to see the weather on my Watch Pro 1 and have not turned on the weather notifications/updates feature in the app. Yet, every time i open it, I get a reminder pop-up to enable my location in order for my watch to get said weather updates.

Please, give us a way to turn those reminders off, they’re annoying.

Also, please, add an option to see the distance covered by walking/running, etc. Google Fit has it, it can’t be that difficult to implement.

All in all, the new app is very slick and a gigantic improvement over the CMF one. Congrats and keep the updates coming.

justarandomstan I’m with you on the distance you do not being shown and I’ve also reported it. It was on the original CMF watch app but was removed during the update to incorporate the Watch Pro 2. I’ve spent a fruitless 12 months trying to get it restored. But while I appreciate your irritation over the weather issue, don’t forget that this is just the beta program so there will be flaws, but they want us to tell them what we find so they can sort them out for the final version. So keep on letting them know. I certainly am 🙂

To be honest, the CMF Watch is at the moment nearly useless in combination with the cmf app.
I tried the open source App Gadgetbridge since a few day and i like it much more.

It´s still not perfect, but it isn´t allowed for gadgetbridge to use every function from the watch, but the connection is better, the notifications are better and i even can show the data from breezy weather.

Also the music control stops working since weeks, with gadgetbridge it´s working again.

It´s a nice move to integrate it to the Nothing X App, but i doubt that it´ll make the watch better.

I hope they´ll work on the functions too
