The CMF Watch app is moving to Nothing X

You’ll soon be able to manage your watch directly from Nothing X, alongside your audio products. Starting June 27, we’re launching a public beta of Nothing X with full support for Watch Pro and Watch Pro 2. To try it early, search for “Nothing X” on Google Play and join the beta programme. Once enrolled, you’ll receive the beta version as a regular app update. It is recommended to unbind your CMF Watch from the CMF Watch app before connecting it to the Nothing X app. > **Note:** *The beta programme is limited in capacity. 1,000 trial spots will be available initially. The number of beta participants may gradually increase based on ongoing feedback and system performance. If you are unable to join on the first day, we encourage you to try again later in the week. Please note: In the original CMF Watch app, the Daily Activity section only displayed data from the connected device. In the beta version, data from both Watch Pro and Watch Pro 2 will be combined. If you wear both watches in a single day, your activity data may appear higher than usual. During pairing, a “Data Migration Guide” will automatically appear. This guide will help you transfer your data from the CMF Watch app to Nothing X. Once the migration begins, your CMF Watch app account will be deactivated, and you will not be able to log back into it. You can choose to migrate data from October 2023 up to the current month. The following data will be transferred: * Workout records * Daily activity, sleep, heart rate, blood oxygen, stress * Active score and training load (Watch Pro 2 only) * Fitness goals Some data will not be carried over, including nickname, avatar, height, weight, and female health data. We strongly recommend that you re-enter this data in the Nothing X app to ensure accuracy. Because these values are closely linked to your physiological information, the default values may not reflect your actual data. Custom watch faces will also not be migrated and can be set up again. If you run into any issues, you can report them directly through the app. Go to My Page › Support › My Devices › Send Feedback. Please make sure to include both app logs and firmware logs to help the team review your report. The official release of Nothing X with full Watch Pro and Watch Pro 2 support is planned for July. After launch, updates will continue regularly to improve performance and add features. The CMF Watch app will remain available until July 2026, giving everyone enough time to switch. We’d love for you to try it early and share your feedback.

I love this move by Nothing. Some feedback for the overall watch and experience.

I am a user of Watch Pro.

Please, I request to fix these.

1. The Grid View Mode to view the Apps isn’t smooth as compared to the default list view mode.

2. The UI feels a lot round round, make it little less round, the options in the settings, those boxes in which the things are written are overall a lot round.

3. Need more Watch Faces and yes please add watch faces with color other than orange too.

4. Add a feature to add other watch faces as AOD also.

5. Make the notifications which come on watch to have full message read support and also the support of emojis.

6. Add a feature to select the desired font, the nothing font is good but it gives headaches sometimes.

7. Basically, improve the whole UI and like make some serious changes to it and fix bugs and make it look premium, update the exercise UI too.

8. I am a BETA tester in Nothing X app. Great move. CMF App sucked.

9. Need better UI to pick up the call too and add a feature of replying using text on the watch itself.

10. The Exercise mode sometimes isn’t able to find the GPS.

Fix those bugs too.

And an overall update to watch pro’s UI and option to buy more straps for the watch.

I really want a Calendar App and a notes app.

The notes app could work using voice, the mic which is in

the watch, that can be used for that voice to type in notes.

It would be so good.

And maybe add some games, not the fancy looking colored games, just some minimal ones for fun.

AdvitSingh at this point the original Watch Pro is pretty much a legacy product. Expecting them to add new watch faces or features to it is only gonna set you up for a disappointment.

The Watch Pro 3 is about to be revealed and most of their attention is gonna go in that direction.

So far so good though im missing these things:
- Being able to swipe between fitness and devices, would make one handed usage TONS better
- The CMF watch 2 pro shows an empty “Album dial” for the kaleidoscope looking watchfaces from the CMF app
Otherwise i seem to have everything i need essentially.

BUT about that watchface problem, and there being a lack of any being added:
I hope it wouldnt require a complete rewrite (otherwise, you should for the sake of future watches), but i want FULLY customizable watch faces. I want to be able to create my own watch faces, even if it means knowing how to code to do so.
What im specifically asking for is:
- choice between digital and analog style
- being able to replace each image of those styles, custom clock hands or custom font
- being able to have a custom placement and scale per element
- basic logic for textures/colors, if its like 4pm then show a special message type stuff
- being able to display more information than just time and date, like activity stats, battery, weather and other stuff available
Compromises can be made, wether a proper app is being made, a webapp, desktop or just being a script you run to build the stuff would be awesome.
This would mean the community can continue to show off the very good looking watch, with very good looking watchfaces. This would improve morale, community engagement, maybe absolve nothing/cmf of the constant question of when theyre going to add more watchfaces and such.

After installing the APK shared here I can no longer enable Notification access, it’s greyed out “Controlled by a restricted setting”.

RohitPakalapati Quick question, I install the Nothing X beta with the link shared and it was a great improvement and works really good. My question is when will this be added definitely to the app? My concern is that if I get an update for the app from Google Play, and loose access to my watch on the app. Any comments about it?

I’m using the CMF Watch app, will I be informed some how when the Nothing X app will be fully supporting the CMF Watch 2 Pro in stable release out of the beta?

If I switch from CMF Watch app to Nothing X app will I lose all my watch configuration?

Will it reset to factory settings?

You won’t lose anything, all data will be migrated. They have 30 days to do it, but in my case it took 24 hours. All data was transferred.

I have a question for users.

Do you know how to add exercises other than the default ones in the Nothing X app? In the My Devices tab, I can add and remove what I want to have on my watch in Common Sports.

However, in the Fitness tab in Excersis, there are 5 default exercises and I cannot modify them. For example, I would like to add cycling because it is not there and I cannot do it.

BUT, for Nothing X on iOS, the experience is a disaster.

Today is the 9th day since 3.4.0 released on iOS, there is still NO WAY to pair with watch 3 pro.

i’ve tried Apple ID in US, China and Hong Kong, none worked.

if i didn’t get an old Android phone, i wouldn’t be able to use the watch.

i wish you have app testers doing there job they were supposted to do before releasing.

After got a update and accept for merge data from CMF app to NOTHING app, My cmf watch 2 pro got some function like a “quick reply” that very nice! Anyone noticed any upgrade ? 😃

Current bug on Watch 2 Pro. If you use aod with the “intersection” watch face the background doesn’t black out, it flickers.

Has anyone else stopped receiving SMS notifications since the switch to Nothing X? All other notifications are fine, I’m using Google Messages for my SMS and this was fine under the CMF Watch app but I’m unable to get notifications for this through Nothing X.
Nothing has changed on my part, and all required permissions and background usage settings are where they should be.

Any ideas anyone?

why does cmf 3 have new dials but 2 doesn’t? Plus there is still no quick reply function. since the OS is the same I think 2 can also have a voice recorder
