Nothing X on Sony NW-A306

I am trying to use the Nothing X app on my Sony NW-A306 Walkman to configure my Ear (2), but am unable to complete the setup as the app is not optimised for the screen. Only the Privacy Policy is legible, while the ‘Start’ button remains unselectable.

If possible, could the app’s compatibility be tested on this device and the scaling issue fixed?

richramo What OS version are you running out of interest? And you tried adjusting your devices display scaling to get past this setup/onboarding screen?

Thanks Rob, I have tried everything I can think of to get around the setup screen without any luck. The device is running Android OS 12.

Hey,
Try an older version of the app by uninstalling the current one,
then install this apk from a trusted source such as APKMirror

Try to setup your ear(2) then update the app through Play Store 🙂

To close this off, luckily, there was an Android 13 update for the Sony NW-A306 Walkman, which allowed gesture navigation. Removing the navigation buttons allowed the setup of Nothing X with no problems, as there was more screen real estate to be able to select the Start button.
