This phone ends up more expensive than a Galaxy S25 which comes with a 8 elite, Longer software support, Boring yet a consistent design language. Compared to whatever the designers were tripping on when they designed this atrocity. There is literally no reason to buy this over an S25 which comes with the established brand recognition that Samsung does, and it’s not even the cheapest 8 elite phone out there.

Nothing likely only has a BOM cost of around 33K imo and that’s factoring in for the camera cutout pcb which they made to accommodate their stupid design. Personally speaking I’m done with this brand and jumped ship to a S25 Ultra because of the joke that’s phone 3 and that’s coming from a day 1 preorder Phone 2 user.

At this price point, Phone 3 is missing several major features:

USB 2.1 (as rumored)
LTPS panel instead of LTPO
Optical fingerprint sensor instead of ultrasonic
Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 instead of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (Elite)
Batter battery capacity

Yet, they still call this their “true flagship” — but honestly, it feels like a true flagship only in the price tag, not in the actual product.

At this price, Phone 3 isn’t competitive at all… it’s just out of the league. Especially in india!

And suddenly, people are realizing the real value of the Samsung S24 Ultra! 💥

Z_Aid Iphone and samsung flagship money for what ugly design and sub standard hardware. You know you have an issue when the iphone seems like better value, And that’s just the 16 don’t even get me started on the upcoming 17 in September which has a 120Hz (Possibly LTPO) display.

Z_Aid The pricing is garbage for the ‘experience’ this phone provides I can just get a pixel 10 whenever they release that unlike this there’s actual research and development that went into custom silicon and then fabrication on TSMC N3E. Unlike here where it’s a chipset that’s available in phones a third of the price, Same goes if you compare Samsung offerings, you get what you pay for in the titanium frame. This on the other hand has neither a BOM cost a third of the selling price slower updates than a pixel or samsung or crapple, and marginally lower support timeframe.

KamiKaze I agree. Well said. It still comes down to each person’s own preferences though. Although I am tempted to wait for a Pixel 10 , now that they have added a dedicated telephoto but this thing is still different and I love the OS. Will see what they’ll do with NOS 4.
