Joseph_Developer Ask yourself this; if this was the design of Phone 1, would they have become the company they are now?
I don’t think for a second that people would have given this phone a chance without having built up a name for themselves.
It’s overpriced for the specification with a (at best) divisive design. It just feels, off.
I like the finish, and industrial feel but the camera alignment makes me feel uncomfortable, and the way the lenses protrude at different distances… nope. That I particularly dislike.
The 2nd screen / glyph matrix idea had been implemented better elsewhere, which in some ways offers less functionality than the glyphs they’ve replaced (my main use of the glyphs was as a fill light which I can’t see the matrix being able to reproduce as well tucked into one corner).
Noone is going to play rock paper scissors or spin the bottle with their phone beyond that first time. And who wants to put their phone face down and have to push a button on the back!? That’s just asking to scratch your screen.
Good job it has a Victus 2 screen… oh. Wait.
If this their attempt at a ‘flagship’ I liked them better when they were a flagship killer.
I’m sure the software experience will be great, but I’d never want use that phone without a matte black case covering the entire design, matrix included. Which feels like the opposite of what they set out to achieve.
I get that everyone’s tastes are different and they’ve obviously set out to make a phone that they like. I just think they’ve misread the room and what people really liked about their previous designs.
