IDK why everyone’s so dramatic about the design change
personally, I think this is peak minimalism with cyberpunk kinda vibes.
How?
let’s me tell you why?
i’ve been using flagship level slabs since 2016, and honestly? they all started to blend together. same curves, same black glass, same centered punch hole, same camera layout. Nothing Phone 3 comes in with a really different approach which makes you stand and look at it and that hits hard for someone like me whose bored of the “glass sandwich”.
what I actually admire technically:
Flat sides + sharper edges = better grip, cleaner silhouette. reminds me of early iPhones but with a futuristic twist.
Glyph 2.0 is underrated tbh. it’s not a gimmick if u use it. notifications while muted, timer alerts, Uber arrival? useful af with tonnes of different notification tools and glyph toys.
Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 – yes, not the Plus, but bruh it’s efficient, runs cool, and matches 95% of use cases. i don’t need 1.5mil on Antutu to open Instagram cmon.
Battery life + Nothing OS – clean, bloat-free, and gets better with every update. animations are smooth, thermals are chill, and the haptics?
and about the design being “weird” – y’all ever consider that “weird” is how innovation starts? people hated the iPhone notch at first too. now it’s a trend.
just give it a few month. this phone will grow on you like AI grew into our lives without warning.
I’m not saying it’s perfect. nothing is. (pun intended 🫡)
but in a market full of safe bets and recycled looks, this one dares to stand out. and I respect that.
give it time. let your eyes adjust. not everything cool is love at first sight. sometimes it’s the slow burn that sticks. 🔥📱
