While your sentiment is fair, you need to accept that it is how it is. You bought it at launch price at your own will, that the product is worthy of that tag and you’re happy paying that price for it.
Whatever the reasons or factors be (most likely once again over-inventory), the device got cheaper, you shall not feel disappointed because somebody else is able to buy it for a significantly lesser price today. That person didn’t buy it earlier because he couldn’t afford it at that price or didn’t find it worthy of that price, however, you did.
So, I think you shall enjoy your purchase instead of being disappointed. You claim that you are supporting the company, but then you also complain for trusting and supporting it. I don’t think both go well together.
Except for a few devices (pre-orders or earbybird offer), the early adopters always pay more than those that join the league a little later. And yes, I agree that the price drop is very steep here. However, it is how it is. Supporters with money and interest help sustain the company. The others join when the price suits them.
