Nothing Phone 3 vs (3a) - Reasons to spend more?

The Phone 3(a) has assymetric camera placements which actually look far better.

There is the essential key.

Both phones rock the same OS so the software experience is going to be nearly identical.

Why should anyone in their right mind pay 50K extra for nearly same experience?

Price wise - full flagship.

Specs wise - Barely midranger.

If you have money to spare, then the nothing 3, but a smart purchase would be the nothing 3a, because in the operating system the same,Features change but it’s not that big of a deal. But if you want it for that points capsule, then the 3.

The only thing is the eSIM support you have on Phone 3 and not on 3a. Other than this there is nothing.

There are a few reasons:

Better build quality and materials. When I had both (3a) devices in my hands, I wasn’t too impressed by the experience. However stating that is rather harsh, since these are more midrange phones and I am a tech savvy person who used to buy much more expensive Samsung flagships and also use the Phone (2) as my daily driver.
Better SoC and more RAM. When the (3a) series was launched, people complained about the “slow” SoC. While (3) doesn’t have the highest end SoC, it still is faster than the 7s Gen4. You can get up to 16 gigs of RAM and the memory is UFS 4.0 than the heavily criticized UFS 2.2 of the (3a).
It has a better update policy, so especially if you are planning keeping the phone for multiple years, the Phone (3) serves you better thanks to five major Android updates.
The screen is said to be brighter and has a higher resolution.
You get a 50 MP ultrawide camera.
If you need lot of memory, the (3) is available with an optional 512 GB variant, (3a) tops at 256 gigs.
You get wireless charging.
Somewhat better fast charging (65 W vs. 50 W)
Last but not least you get full IP68 protection.

So there are quite a number of true differences between both phones. Are these worth the higher price tag? That’s up to each and everyone to decide. Personally I’d happily pay the extra bucks just alone for the better build quality and materials, as well as the IP68 rating.

Ive been reading reviews that 3a pro as midrange is better than the 3 version considering their price difference. Im waiting for more feedback on camera and video update software on 3a pro because some glitches like deformed when doing wide angle video and ahots
