Hey everyone! I’m hoping someone here might know of a good Android app that’s comparable to Apple Shortcuts. I love automating things on my phone, and I’ve been using NFC tags around my house to trigger different tasks — like starting a playlist when I tap my speaker, or turning on Do Not Disturb when I place my phone on my nightstand.
Apple Shortcuts makes this kind of automation incredibly smooth and user-friendly, but on Android, I’m struggling to find anything that feels as polished — especially something that integrates well with native phone functions and works seamlessly with NFC tags.
I’m currently using a Nothing phone 3a pro and I genuinely think Nothing OS and the clean Nothing UI would work perfectly with a native nothing automation app. I’d absolutely love to see the Nothing software team develop something like this in-house — something that’s lightweight, intuitive, and deeply integrated with the system. It would take the experience to the next level.
Ideally, I’m looking for:
A solid Android alternative to Shortcuts
Full NFC tag support
Ability to automate native phone functions (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, DND, media, etc.)
A clean and intuitive interface
No root required
If anyone has suggestions, app recommendations, or even any workarounds that are working well for you, I’d really appreciate your input!
