It might very well be possible Nothing will wait for OS 4.0 in order to bring the full amount of camera improvements introduced with the (3a) series to the older phones.

Also keep in mind their team for camera stuff was rather busy until now:

Optimize for (3a) series
Optimize for CMF Phone (2)
Optimize for Nothing Phone (3)

With all these devices now being available, they should have more breathing room to finally focus more on the older phones.

I have to say that with the second update of NOS3.0 for my CMF1 it was nice and day with the camera quality.

I wish it was like that from day 1 but it’s really solid now. I can’t comment on the other phones but they do update the camera over time.

People here state that GCam works better but I ain’t got time for that
