Honestly, I’m seriously considering ditching the Nothing Phone (2).
Lately, I’ve been looking at other smartphones — maybe a Samsung or a Pixel, because at least with those brands, updates usually bring improvements, not degradation. But with Nothing, it feels like the exact opposite. Every update seems to make things worse — especially the camera. The battery optimisation has gone bad too.
When I first bought the Phone (2), the camera was genuinely good. But after a few updates, it’s just gone downhill. It now feels like they’re deliberately downgrading the performance to make their newer models look better in comparison. And I’m not the only one noticing this — I posted about it on the community, and a lot of users agreed. The same pattern, the same frustration.
On top of that, we’re not even getting new features. No AI additions, no modern camera updates, nothing exciting. Just a clean UI that now feels outdated because the core experience is falling apart.
I really liked Nothing’s approach at first — the design, the minimal software — but it feels like they’ve stopped caring about existing users. And if that’s the case, I’m done.
