Japan eSim on Nothing Phone (3a)

Hello. Just a quick question….! I notice the Nothing Phone (3a) has eSim support in Japan only. I live in the UK but travel to Japan regularly and use their tourist eSim for the data connection. If I were to purchase a Nothing Phone (3a) in the UK, can I prepare the eSim in the UK for it to become activated in Japan when I arrive? Or does it need a specific Japanese model?

Heyy, same here. I’m planning to visit Thailand soon, and I’ll need to activate an eSIM on my 3a. What do you think — will it work? Or its only Japanese eSIMs are supported on this phone?

@sadrobot I believe that the hardware is the same, no matter the region. What changes is software-side regional activation.
And as far as I know Japanese eSIM providers also support Nothing (3a). But to be sure you could also contact the Nothing Support.
