Can we expect a good update for Phone (2)?

Now that Phone (3) i.e. true flagship has been released. Can we expect a good update for Phone (2) which provides better camera, better battery life and bugs free/smooth UI with no apps crashing?

The update frequency is good, and I appreciate that. But for me, it’s not about how often they arrive. I’m happy to wait. What really matters is stability: fewer bugs, a smoother UI, better battery life, and noticeable camera improvements.

That said, when updates introduce bugs, it becomes hard to wait patiently—quick fixes become just as important.

SANALAKKU camera preset isn’t that great bro. I’ve used it in 3a pro. Using AGC 9.2 Gcam gives you more photographic styles. Try that.

We cant expect good updates from Nothing, as in every updates phone camera has been degraded.

Hi, Nothing will release OS 4.0 based on Android 16 later this year, pretty sure they will use this opportunity to clean up the “mess” of the many different OS 3.x variants for the currently available phones.

Carl Pei announced they are looking to bring the camera improvements introduced with Phone (3a) series on the older devices, that’s most likely going to happen with the OS 4.0 release at the latest date.

Next scheduled update should arrive soon, we’ll habe to wait and see what is actually included, as it is most going to be just a typical smaller update mostly to get the security level up to date.

It is not wise to buy 2nd Nothing phone. I am using Nothing Phone 2. I love it. But hate Nothing as a company. Standing in 2025 I can predict that company will destroy if they don’t change their attitude. They lie about their products. Make fake promises. They launched Nothing Phone 2, but after Nothing Phone 2a, they stopped giving priority to Nothing Phone 2 for some unknown reason. Moreover they didn’t pay attention to the community or the users. Carl Pei is behaving like spoiled brat who would do whatever he wants without even trying to understand the real scenario.

Nothing started thinking itself as Google or Apple. This will lead to their downfall. Mark my words.

No. No good updates.

No hate for the software, it’s smooth and fluid but it’s the same as day one. It hasn’t included features we wanted or improved the problems that it had.

I’ve been having a great use with this phone due to GCam development being great. And developed XMLs own my own as well. But planning to switch to Oppo or Vivo flagships.

Which agc Gcam’s are you referring? can you give me the version no and the config name?
I’ve tried some from the Photography telegram group, but the colours come out really washed and a bit blurry overall.
