"I’m finding the low-light camera performance to be a bit underwhelming. On paper, the hardware specs are very capable, similar to the Pixel 9 Pro, so it seems the bottleneck is the image processing. Is it realistic to expect that the developers will be able to improve this through future software updates?

Ive been to 3 concerts and each one I have struggled to get good on focus and nicely lit photos …. Now I’m not expecting miracles but I do feel like nothing has some room in the tank to tweak how it handles situations like this .

… the pictures are really bad, even it could be said horrible/terrible. Did you changed photo-settings, or they has been captured on “automatic”?

RomanCZ auto mainly on the 3x zoom lens and sometimes no hdr to see if it was the hdr and to have some attempt at focus mainly action mode

odetojamie thanks for reply, 3x optical zoom camera on NP3 has “specific” technical/light ability (Aperture f/2.68, Sensor ½.75”) so it never will be “good” to use it in such a conditions. The 3x optical zoom camera is just not targeted to be used in this conditions (night show + sporadical lights). Just use main camera on auto and then make cut-off. :-).

Phone 3 . Only a month of the purchase, first video I made in a concert was terrible, sounds and video quality poor , it’s like have some technical problems. I can’t believe it, I was so frustrated I didn’t bring my camera because I was so much confident with the phone 3 . What I have to do ,, send it back ?

The quoted post mentions poor sound quality of concert recording from camera.
I can’t seem to find anything similar on this issue in the community, if I am overlooking, could somebody direct me, please?

Nothing Phone 3, latest software, concert recordings made with phone camera and its internal microphone sound as if the speakers are blown (distorted, heavy crackle, overamplification or similar effect when recording), even if listening to the recording on other device later.
At the same time, recordings with other phones made at same location are fine.

No issue with phone calls, other apps, or using camera to record videos in quiet locations. Only concerts (loud music), impossible!
I assume this is a software issue, please fix?

I’m having a situation with a blurry front camera. Is there no way to make the front camera focus properly? I’ve been trying to look at my piercings behind my ear and can’t seem to properly focus and it’s too much of a hassle to use the back camera as I can’t control it that well in the mirror. Is there any feature/trick/tip to make the front camera more effective?

CMF1_hacker I was going to say the same thing. I recall reading an article a while ago with an iPhone and the sensor from one of those autonomous cars causing the damage.

Camera is absolutely brilliant.

But it lacks a few basic features.

While recording a video, I am unable to shift lens.
Front cam is zoom in zoom out is not possible even when the hardware supports a wider angle for group selfies. I had to install gcam just for this.
