Well I also came from Samsung after being here about 5 years and I still like what they do in a system. I really hated all Google apps at all so I even used their own mail app instead of gmail. I liked their interface, camera and features so even now I’m learning this OS like I’m watching it first time. It feels like you’re eternal learner of the UI, that’s what it looks to me also because of getting updates.
I still miss their notes, clock and keyboard as it was better to me to change languages through swipe and use emojis a bit better. I like their emojis more than Google’s stock. I’m not enjoying Google’s alarm interface tbh. But I installed a notes app I used back in 2019, I got a bit used to the keyboard.
@ParlCei I personally don’t know how are you using One UI7 on Galaxy S10 when the last UI version there was 5.1. It’s not updating anymore after 4 years, only if you installed it myself. To be really honest, a stock One UI7 look is bad compared to Nothing OS. If, let’s say, even in 6.1 their colourful icons were a part of a personal style, now they completely left the chat with really strange decision to make it even more colourful and detailed what’s just “aaaaah!!!”.
If only my Z Flip5 was in a good condition I’d definitely set all of these in a monochrome cause it looks like a kid toy, not a stylish creative mobile. There’s no such minimalistic simplicity in colours anymore and I’m not sure someone really likes it.
Also for the OS: there are really too much pre-installed apps that I haven’t really used! Having 246gb on Z Flip5 and on Nothing Phone (3a) hits very different. So now Nothing goes really accurate here to let the phones be more clean in this moment. For those who still needs customisation there are MANY apps on Google play and many options. I was a big customizator nerd before I’ve got a Samsung. Now I just don’t like to play with these plugins, install themes and etc. I’m just using my Nothing and I’m just happy. I don’t need anything for now, everything’s enough🤷🏼♀️
But of course everyone has its own opinions and favourites. I still like Samsung and also in its ecosystem but seems that I’m not moving back to them next time, maybe later…
