Phone (2) got the fix for battery drain and heating, when for phone 2(a)?

When June 2025 update for Nothing Phone (2a) was released it was considerably larger for some minor fixes and security patch with changelog mentioning about fixing battery drain on wifi, but it introduces an annoying bug which cause higher active battery drain and phone heating comapred to previous builds with the similar normal use.

As the Phone (2) received their june patch with 1st july 2025 build, the user are reporting lower battery drain and heating is reduced too, Kuddos to the team but please look after Phone (2a), peace of mind is must, team.

It used to be lower but now it’s around 11-12%/h, and battery temperature is mostly high around 39% in normal usage and increase even futher while have usage. I didn’t face the battery draining ever since I have bought the phone (for around 1 year) and it was all good, but with the latest patch I am facing the problem. And I am not the only one with it.

Also Network work fine wen active but te device get disconnect while in idle condition.

Found another, user got locked out of their devices after the update even with correct password

Groot54 Initially reported the problem through feedback option, twice, but every time got reply with battery saving tips and notice that phone heats while updating or visit to the service center to get my phone inspected, I guess the support people are automated machine replies or the they pretend they don’t understand the user concern.

I specifically mentioned to let the software team atleast know the issue, but those automated replies 🙁.

As with no resolution, where should I share my problems, Community is the only place to tell.

I know there are numerous post about people complaining for the numerous issues but there no other place to go.

Same here on nothing 2a. Heating abnormally in basic uses, battery drains faster than earlier. please provide the update to resolve the problem. No other place to tell

My NP2A is not even a year old and I have to charge it like a 3 year old phone🙂

Same Problem with my NP2a, battery drains very fast in normal use very much disappointing, in 2 hours my half of the battery drains even if I’m watching offline downloaded movie.

Battery is a big concern for me it acts like that this phone hai 2000mah battery

I have found this phone to be fantastic in general but yeah the battery drain is absolute garbage, had two updates in a couple of weeks since buying the phone brand new and the battery has literally gone to 55% with 2 hours of screen on time that is trash. My Iphones, motorolas and samsungs in years gone by have absolutely obliterated this. Also sreen off with music playing in the gym etc drains the battery quickly something I have not had in the past on other phones. There is no glyph interface turned on, background apps disabled and screen brightness literally at 30% usually. I charge it of a night and wake at 5am by 11 its literally half battery with - as I say - around 2 hours of screen on time used taking it to 55%. pathetic to be honest in 2025. Will consider sending back to amazon and getting something else.
