Netflix playback specifications

In the nothing os 2.0.4 in my phone (2), netflix playback specification is showing as SD (widevine L3), resulting videos to run at only 480p.

Is anyone else facing this issue? Anyone has any solutions, it used to run in FHD before the update.

P.s. mine is an Indian unit

As per my knowledge Nothing have to partnership with Netflix. And asper partnership/ sponsorship Netflix gives the device a L1 /HDR certification.

But because of Nothing os does not include any bloated apps That’s why you only get the base quality in Netflix. 🙂

Every thing aside even after l1 widewine an alll phone 2 has the display which supports hdr10+ but no support for hdr in device itself. Hdr doesn’t work in YouTube also in phone 2 for its prize I never thought it would not even work on YouTube. YouTube is integrated part of Android now but still no working of hdr playback in it. My friend’s Samsung phone more cheaper than my phone 2 supports hdr on Netflix and YouTube but not my phone. And nothing is not even giving solution for it it’s been 8 months from the launch not even once the issue is addressed by company

I think for nothing phone 2 has to get an update of HDR support for Netflix..

‘Nothing’ can be done. 😅 As it is an integration issue. Nothing as a brand must have an agreement with Netflix for L1 widevine.
