Nothing (3) included case - static!

I have, like many, been getting used to the new phone. Put the included soft case on it as a precaution and thought no more.

I noticed a lot of dust on the screen after being in my pocket, thinking it was the plastic screen protector but no; the cameras were also getting dusty. Turns out the plastic case is a static dust magnet. The similar case from my ancient O+8Pro never did this (but is now a nice shade of yellow).

Any ideas for reducing the static until I find an alternative case in the future?

I had a similar issue with my phone 2a plus when it was new, but it got less over time. After 4 weeks or so I didn’t face this issue anymore.

I have also noticed the included case attracting a lot of dust. It does seem to be getting less worse with time so hopefully it’s just because it’s new and it hasn’t had a chance to discharge all its static yet. It doesn’t seem to happen without the case on!

I have also same problem, loads of dust gathers on screen. I am hopefully that over a week or two it will stop.

Follow-up!

On a whim I washed the case with some light detergent and fully rinsed and dried it. All now seems well, no more excessive dust. A little, but much less, and this should settle down but perhaps one more wash later to be sure.
