Turn off the selfie image processing

While using the camera, I've noticed that I'm fine with what the camera displays while taking the photo, but after second or so of "processing" the image turns overly processed unappealing and unnatural, even though I've turned off the "retouching" feature. Is there a way to disable this over processing?

Hi, I find the selfie camera to be over processing the images, i.e, the original image after capturing looks good enough but after processing, the skin becomes too soft and details lost. Not just that, the edge detection is pretty bad. light leaking or over exposure along the edges of subject. Hope it gets fixed in upcoming updates as I find the sensor pretty capable

Got the same problem with the phone 2a. Selfies look pretty close to life while capturing but after the so called True-to-life ai image processing is applied (even when the retouching option is set to off), they just look so fake with that extra soft skin and blown up exposure on the face. I don’t know who would want this sort of touch up but atleast add a switch to simply turn off this enhancement.

AchyutRaj I had just updated to nothing os 3.0 using nothing 2a, I’m still having the same issue. I don’t think the devs are doing anything to this.

dMarko I second this on the 2a. The selfie photos are atrocious. Literally my only gripe with this phone!

All photos, selfie or regular, are using weird enhancements and sometimes even taking objects out of photos. How can I turn this off, as I never wanted this feature on in the first place.

For God sake just give us the features to turn off this over processing feature, I like how I looks without this so called ai processing , the camera is decent in phone 2a but when I press the capture button the output image is just bad , over processed , whitening skin shades etc..

We need a switch so that we can choose for ourselves whether we need processing or not. I would like to see my photos the same as in the camera itself and noise is not a problem compared to what we get with processing. This is necessary for both the selfie camera and the main one.

I have the same issue with this processing. Looks so bad. Like someone said. There are some of us who like how we look. There should be a way to turn this off. Is there no one who can help with it? The phone 2a was atleast better, on the 2a plus (or I’m not sure if it’s after an upgrade), it just looks so fake.

I’m using 2a plus for a day now. I regret buying this phone after I found out about that over processing image. It looks fine before processing. I turn off every retouching options. This effect both front and rear camera. Please just give us a control to turn that off. Beg you guys.
