It’s not a hardware issue, as the app should work on any Android 12 and onwards. And if it was an android problem, it wouldn’t work on my Phone 3a ( not compatible ).
So the problem is related to dexcom developers.
So dexcom as a company has a list of compatible devices on their website.
If you look at the list, you can see there also Nothing brands with compatible phones such as: Phone 1, Phone 2, Phone 2a ( must have been added recently, because when I bought Phone 3a, Phone 2a was not there yet) and cmf Phone 1.
But phone 3 and phone 3a are missing.
Why are these phones missing ? It is because they are newly released phones that have not yet been tested by dexcom.
Oh, so we just have to wait for these phones to be added to the list, right ? Yes you can, but it may take a year, maybe even longer, because there are so many of these phones being released. But with our health problem. we cannot wait a year.
Also when a new Iphone is released, dexcom will start testing new Iphone immediately so that the Iphone can be added to the list as soon as possible.
So that’s where we are getting to, if Nothing developers could make some deal or cooperation with dexcom. It would be much easier to switch from Iphone or any other phone to Nothing brand.
