Actually, I thought the battery life on the NP3 was poor when I first started using it (around the release date). However, after using it for a while with adaptive battery turned on, the battery life is quite good now. I charge the phone to 80%, and by the end of the day, I usually have around 15-25% battery left. It’s worth noting that I’m a heavy phone user for both work and leisure.

P.S. I don’t use a fast charger for overnight phone charging unless necessary.

I had never charged my phone 3 and never drained to 0. I feel battery drains fast with minimal usage.

Any suggestions on this?

Did you just unbox it? Out of box updates may cause significant battery usage on the first day, it should get better once everything is done

I’ve been using this phone for the past 40 days, and overall, it feels like a stable and solid device. However, I’ve noticed that the battery performance isn’t quite as good as I expected. I’m getting an average Screen-On Time (SOT) of around 5 to 5.5 hours from 100% to 20%.

Meanwhile, I’ve seen many users claiming they get over 7 hours of SOT. My daily usage mainly includes social media apps (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp, and YouTube), with about 30–70% usage split between Wi-Fi and mobile data. I occasionally use the camera and don’t play games.

Could anyone share their experience with battery life on this device? Also, please suggest any optimization tips — or let me know if this could be a potential battery issue with my unit.

I’m too getting the sot of 5 to 5.5 hours on OS 4.0. Battery usage on nov 23 mostly normal usage browsing e-commerce app.

SAME SOT ON OS 3.5 VERSION.

I'm afraid you are using some of the least optimised android apps for battery life, all of Metas app are battery eaters, YouTube is mild in comparison. If you're getting even 6hr of SOT that's not to bad but if you're gonna want battery life those apps need attention in the way they do data calls and notifications. Battery optimization only does some much on android. And screen time is always the biggest battery killer, and depends on screen brightness. It's not the phones fault it's always the user that murders the battery.

mxnp2307 just disabled browser in background should help a bit at least might even be a big difference

I’m getting about 10h SoT with OS 4.0 stable on my NP3. This is similar to NOS 3.5 Great update as the entire OS is smoother.

CMF1_hacker try to charge the mobile till 80 or 90%. And please share the result. Curious to see.

80 to 90 percent takes 7 mins and drops from 25A to 15A as expected 😃

Keep in mind it’s always hard to compare SoT between the devices of different people:

While they all use a Phone (3), the whole environment can differ radically:

Quality of cellular signals
Quality of wifi signals
Installed apps, services and accounts
The actual apps used while the screen is active
Screen brightness
Dark mode vs. light mode

All of these points can have a (significant) impact on battery performance and thus screen on time results.

I can still say, now after more than 48 hours and two charges since installing Nothing OS 4.0 stable, the update improved my (idle) battery performance almost significantly.
