Battery Life Tips - Phone (3)

Hey Nothing Community,

I’ve been loving the Nothing Phone (3)’s clean aesthetic and was wondering how everyone’s customizing their home screens to keep that minimalist vibe. Here are a few tips I’ve found work well:

Use Nothing’s Default Widgets: The Nothing OS widgets, like the clock and weather, are super clean and match the transparent aesthetic. Try stacking them for a compact look.
Minimal Icon Packs: Go for icon packs like ‘Lines’ or ‘Mono’ from the Play Store to keep things simple.
Wallpaper Choice: A dark, abstract wallpaper complements the Glyph lights and keeps the focus on functionality.
Grid Layout: Set a 5×5 or 6×6 grid in the launcher settings to space out icons evenly without clutter.

I run this and get very good battery life out of the NP3 (more than 12h SoT per charge for last week or so.)

How often do you find yourself charging the phone? Do you use it not on WiFi?

dreddit well, I’ve been doing a ton of thermal testing on it and shooting movies and the like, so the usage has been harder than usual.

This is my percentage charging per day that I’ve been using it and I would say this is likely higher than usual.

Understandable usage for a first few weeks, thanks for the feedback, do you use it over Bluetooth for music? If so do you see the active codecs available? And how’s the discharge overnight?

dreddit strange but I e been painting my house a lot and I don’t listen to music when I DIY. When in the office, had the iMac play DR P8 Jazz so I haven’t used any earbuds with it.

My child always kicks me out of bed at 2am, so I change beds and fall asleep again to historical or engineering YT so I can’t comment on drain overnight, sadly.

Jb233 It is always hard to compare two phones of different people and judge the battery life. My SoT, using the 90% charging limit, also only lasts for 5-6 hours - however it wasn’t different on my previous devices.

It depends on what apps you got installed, what kind of services are running in the background, what kind of apps have been excluded from battery saving modes, how the signal coverage is like, how the wifi coverage is like, display brightness and so on.

Jb233 hey, can you install AccuBatteryPro and see which app are causing the drain, that should provide the answer to your problem
