How do I remove the search bar at the bottom in app drawer ? I hate it 😭 is there no option to remove this ?!

The search bar in the app drawer in the new update has been moved to the bottom, and it looks so ugly, it sits just below the app boxes and it looks clunky and is a far cry from the stylistic approach the Nothing UI offers.

Worse yet, there is no option to move it back or switch it off altogether.

Please nothing Devs fix this, the new app drawer looks absolutely horrendous.

Yep,I have updated today and it sucks either they should have give option show search bar in bottom or top of the app drawer and a option to disable the search bar,it should be leave to the user.the previous one is better in my opinion

Because it makes the most sense to be there, from the usability POV. Your eyes don’t go up and down and up and down - they stay down, results are shown up. Perfect UI and UX.

The UI of app drawer search bar has changed from top to bottom and it got fixed there I like the pervious look of search bar of app drawer at top revert back

I like the changed search bar placed at the bottom of the launcher and it is also very good for using the phone easily with one hand. However, In my opinion when you search for an app it should also be at the bottom for easy 1 hand use.

also, i would love to see the same font used on the battery % and time. it seems a bit odd to use 2 different fonts on battery and time.

SiddhanthJagtap That doesn’t work. There are already many topics about this. The user request has already been communicated to Nothing. You’re welcome to do this again. However, you can’t currently move the search bar to the top.

OG people - Wants true amoled black dark mode. Also an unlimited colour picker for theme independent of wallpaper.

Nothing - Nope Not happening.

Current users - Atleast let the search bar be customisable. We are android if you forgot about that !

may be we will get more customization in next update. who knows. but this searchbar is useless for me, coz I dont even get scrollbar since I dont have much apps. so I dont need search. and its pain that I cant toggle the searchbar.

Forgive me if I’ve misread the post. You want the easy to reach bottom search bar moved back to the top, so it’s harder to reach again? Really 🙄

shafi_22 yup …it’s easy that way…you can use phone with one hand … i personally never used it… but good to have feature..and people get vocal about discomfort more that comfort…so there are people who liked this but never come here to appreciate it…

shafi_22 So you are telling me, you will type and search with one hand at the bottom, the app where does it show ? Bottom ? 😂 IT SHOWS UP ON THE VERY TOP ROW. What’s the point of the search bar now ? 😂 We are smarter than the dev team man. So yes. Give us an option to remove the search bar. It’s android and it’s doable.
