What prompted you to invest in Nothing?

Personally, I invested in this project because I shared the same long term vision, something I was thinking about for a long time (as I said in the Introduction discussion).

I’ve been with the oneplus philosophy of being community driven. But now everything is changed there, later @Carl made us aware about his new ideas and gave us an opportunity to be a part of NOTHING. And then here we are.

Been a big fan of Carl since the old OnePlus days. I was intrigued by the fact that a top management personnel was descending all the way to the down and hearing what the masses want and what they have to say. His consumer-driven approach prompted me to invest in Nothing.

When you invest in a startup, you invest in people apart from the idea. So the people (obvio Carl) at Nothing prompted me in investing. Have seen him at Oneplus 7T launch event in Delhi, he was/is amazing.

Apart from that the product category selected by them for the first launch also made me invest my money with them. This TWS segment is ruled by only one player with others just creating me too products with very less focus. There is a big white space for a non-smartphone brand to put dedicated efforts in a TWS. Massive untapped opportunity for a right product.

I did apply for the mechanical engineering job, but I am a graduate student so I don’t think company would consider me for the role, but yea got in touch with the nothing team over linkedin and waiting for something positive. Fingers crossed. :

It was the name Nothing that really nailed me, well chosen!!! Carl is right that nothing should stand between us and technology. And the investors of nothing are all famous people and companies. The hype around Nothing also contributed to my investment.

Successful visionaries dream and then execute. Carl is one of these successful visionaries…I believe he will do for Nothing what he did in the early days of OnePlus, creating something truly amazing (including this community). Glad to be along for the ride

I was all in as soon as Carl announced it. I didn’t need anything else to convince me. His love, passion, and enthusiasm for tech and community made it a no brainer. I didn’t think it could get even more enticing. But then they announced the partnership with Teenage Engineering. That blew my mind 🤯. How could it get better ? Then they bought the Essential brand and I became a giddy little kid.

The potential with Nothing is limitless. The vision of Carl, Teenage Engineering, and the entire team limitless. This is going to be an amazing ride.
