Sound: A smooth, easy-listening profile. Vocals feel forward and crisp, with bass sitting politely in the background – never muddy or overwhelming. Great for podcasts or acoustic tracks where clarity matters most.
ANC: Takes the edge off consistent low-end noises (think AC units or distant traffic). Not transformative, but takes you from distracted to focused in quieter spaces.
Gaming: Surprisingly competent latency. In games like BGMI audio stayed in sync – no distracting lag between actions and sounds.
CMF Buds 2: My Sound Sweet Spot

Sound: This is where my ears light up. Richer and more dynamic than the 2A, with a subtle bass lift that adds warmth without drowning detail. Highs sparkle cleanly, and instruments layer neatly. Vocals? Crystal clear, yet never harsh. Personally, I prefer this tuning over the 2 Plus – it just feels more alive and engaging.
ANC: ANC could have been better when compared to Buds 2 Plus but can clearly notice the difference when listening outdoors, it is generally sufficient to block most external sounds. For the price, it performs impressively well, though in particularly loud environments, the ANC can feel a bit less effective.
Gaming: Near-instant response. Tested with fast shooters like COD Mobile – footsteps and gunfire synced flawlessly to on-screen action.
CMF Buds 2 Plus: ANC Powerhouse
Sound: Polished and balanced. Bass is present but tight, mids are smooth and voices sound natural, and highs avoid sharpness. Less fun than the Buds 2, but exceptionally clean for calls or podcasts.
ANC: The star feature. Silences office chatter, subway rumble, and coffee shop clatter noticeably better than the 2A. Feels like putting on noise-canceling earmuffs.
Gaming: Competitive-ready latency. In rhythm games like Beatstar and COD & BGMI, directional audio like footsteps and gunshots tracked precisely with zero delay.
Why I Keep Reaching for the Buds 2
Even after testing all three: The Buds 2 deliver the most musical and addictive sound to my ears. That extra texture and energy make music feel vibrant. The 2 Plus are ANC kings – perfect for travel or noisy desks. The 2A punch far above their price for clarity and comfort.
