Hi everyone,
Proud phone 2 user here!
I’ve started shooting music and gear content on Instagram as part of a music promotion strategy, so I need to film videos with audio and live music recorded onto it.
My mixer/interface of choice is the TX-6 by teenage engineering, however I’ve come to realize that my phone 2 and the mixer can’t cooperate because there’s no way to switch off the power delivery of the phone.
I’ve tried possibly every option available and it just doesn’t work, which is really sad considering the shared designers, ethos, et cetera.
The issue is that, even with the ground isolator and charger off option on the TX-6, the phone 2 sends out too much power and the mixer goes into a safeguard mode. So the audio sounds “bitcrushed” and the video is unusable.
What bugs me is that with iPhone it is just seamless and accessible from the native video app.
My question is: will this issue persist in Phone 3? Has it been solved? I don’t mind using third party apps like open camera.
Because if that is the case I will have to wait and purchase a used iPhone given that the video production is more pressing and I just can’t afford to get two devices in one month.
If anyone knows a way to make it work and solve the issue.
