Hello, I am a new Nothing user, and just wanted to share my first thoughts of having it for a few days.
First if all, I like the designs I can see people not liking it, but for me it looks nice. With that said there is a point to be made about the camera island, you can’t lay it flat - it’s not a big deal for me, but just pointing it out.
Second, the UI/OS, it does require some time to get use to it, but personally I love it! Which brings me to the major points of my feedback: I love that there is, at least seems like it, quiet a lot of privacy options or choices that I have control over, love it wish you would go more and more with it. (Tough maybe some contracts or things might not allow you too, which is a shame, but understandable)
Second, there is some great customization feature like for folders, widgets, UI/themes. I wish I could customize even more, for example the screenshot button where you want to close apps or the choice of swiping the lock screen corner apps, rather then holding them, or the ability of choosing the unlocking method, If I swiped accidentally I can still use my finger print or a button for it, to not have to back out - a very minor one, but probably the most annoying, not a big deal, but giving a choice to the user is a nice touch.
Thirdly, the phones glyph. Love the idea, the execution is nice, but still lacking in my opinion, of course, a bit hypocritical, at the moment I don’t really know anything I would like the glyph to do more, but would love more features, like the integrations and specially, going back to the second point, customizing the glyph or more editing existing ones. For example the default ringtones: have control over the duration or just editing in general - I know there is a glyph maker, so maybe it’s all in there, haven’t tried it yet.
Generally I don’t have any regrets for now, it is an upgrade, will give more feedback after quite some time, love what you are doing for now, and all the problems that I have, can be fixed with os patches. Have a great day!
