Honestly, I appreciate they updated their UI but for me, it messed up the UX for me. Yes, there I said it. The simple up and down call functions were very simplified. I didn’t had to think even twice, I just picked or cut the call in one go. But with this update I have to carefully swipe right or left for what I want to do with the call. Now some might say, just use the other UI that if also offers where you get two option, but do I really need it? NO. I didn’t want a two button or even a horizontal swipe. It creates the UI maybe a little better but the more important part here is that, “it should work, while having that simplicity”. Google maybe improving their applications but with the dialer app, I am honestly disappointed.
But who to even say? It’s just one of my rants here. Does anybody care? In the end, I just have to adapt to that mindless compact design that the app offers regardless of the simplicity of “it works like a charm, I don’t have to see it twice”.
