Packaging and Unboxing Experience!

Often, the very first interaction of the consumer with the product is the packaging and the unboxing experience. Packaging design is not just about designing a box to ship the product, rather it is also a part of the final product and needs attention to detail just as the physical product. Packaging and its design play a vital role in communicating the value of the brand and are hugely impacted by factors like materials used, print technology, printing ink, shape, size, and color. Most of the time that very first experience isn’t satisfying and is just “meh”. Then, occasionally there are some products whose unboxing experiences like the one I had whilst opening my Starling bank envelope to collect the ATM card, was exceptionally satisfying. That was the kind of experience I wanted to have quite often. It would be great if we all could share such rare exceptionally satisfying experiences, helping the packaging team to design a packaging that would be weightless, effortless, and timeless.

Personally looking to that picture of how the case supposed to be, I kind of like the looks of it, and it really seems they found a smart way of hiding the uglier parts. 😛

But what got me worried about the pic is the size, I’m not sure if it will fullfil my requirements for the ideal earphones case size that is being able to fit it on the jeans small pocket. 😢
