mejias_wnstn Applying the tempered glass right on top of the screen protector doesn’t make any sense, it’s also very much possible the adhesive of the glass won’t be sticking as well as it should. It could also severely impact the performance of the fingerprint and proximity sensors.
So far I haven’t removed the pre-applied protector because I haven’t found an appealing tempered glass solution, I just sent the Spigen Slim Fit glass back to Amazon and canceled my order, because that glass was disappointing in quality.
In general, tempered glass protectors are superior due to a number of reasons:
- Real glass feeling when touching your screen
- It can absorb direct impacts on the screen better than a thing plastic film
- It’s more resistent against scratches
- Personally I always think the application is a bit simpler
Downsides are: More expensive and they are thicker (so you should look for one with rounded edges), but that’s already pretty much it.
