Does anyone have WLAN disconnections?

Does anyone also have WLAN disconnections?

Several times a day, apps or websites briefly fail to load. If I switch WLAN off briefly and then on again, it works again.

I don’t have this problem with my NP2.

Einstein I have the same issue with the NP3. I don’t understand why, I reconnected my WLAN again but the problem is still there. When switching off and using mobile Internet everything is working. It’s only with the WLAN.

I got my NP3 Yesterday and I have the WLAN issued too. Suddenly the connection Stücks and you have to switch off the wireless connection. After turning it one again, all ist fine. I guess a Fürther update ist requiered.

Might be worth following up on. Can you provide some of the information below?

- Routers in use (Mesh, single router, 2.⅘/6GHz, Wi-Fi 6/6e/7, QoS enabled, etc)
- Are 5GHz and 2.4GHz separate bands or is it smart switching?
- Have you gotten all the latest updates from the Phone 3?
- Under Settings > Network and Internet > Internet > WiFi > Click your internet WiFi name (not the settings gear) > Network details and list things like Frequency, Security (No need to post this unless it is something like WPA3 or custom security), Auto-Connect, Type, Transmit Link Speed and Receive Link Speed (these numbers may vary)

If you can provide some of that information we might be able to narrow down a cause. For example, I have a single ASUS RT-AX58U running a custom firmware, with smart band switching but no QoS enabled on 500Mbps cable connection. My Network information shows I’m connected to the 6GHz band (160MHz), WiFi-6, Transmit speed is 1297 Mbps and Receive Link Speed is 1225 Mbps with auto-connect on. I don’t have any dropouts but I do notice that when I am connected for a long time my link speeds can drop. I assumed this is because I mess with my router too much and other wireless interference exists, but there could be something else worth investigating if you have similar settings.

OK, so seeing that others are having this issue reassures me that I am not alone. I have submitted log files directly to Nothing Support as per a request I had from them. If I hear anything back I will share.

I have the same Wi-Fi problem. Apps and internet often fail to load or load very slowly. This problem occurs on various routers with different connections and configurations (DSL, fiber optic). Resetting the network settings and the device doesn’t improve things. Mobile internet works without issues. I’ll inform nothing.

I’m having the same issues, thought it was me to begin with or my home broadband but seems it happens on most WLANs

Mobile network is always fine and I find myself switching between the two to get apps to load. So frustrating 🙁

Hi,

Sorry for my bad english (i’m French).

I bought a Nothing Phone 3 white 512go (second hand, no bill unfortunately).

I have several issues with the Wifi on this phone. It’s like the phone loose the signal sometimes, result to lot of lag in opening apps… No problem with 5G. The speed from my wifi become very slow (no problem with other devices, i do multiple tests when this happened and the speed is normal in my iPad or Iphone of my wife).

I never had a single problem with all my items connected to the wifi (even my 3a Pro and other devices from the brand i had in the past). The signal is excellent (wifi 6 and 5ghz).

But with my Nothing Phone 3 it’s like it loose the signal randomly… I had to Factory reset the phone and the problem still happen…

Any suggestions ? Because i don’t know if the phone will be covered by the warranty if i have no bill…

Same issues here, i have factory reset the phone multiple times (2) and the problem still happening multiple times per day. It’s very annoying and frustrating. I have reached the support but in two weeks i had 2 waiting answer. I hope this is a software issue. I finally bought a CMF Phone Pro 2 because my NP3 was very frustrating to use (i had to toggle on/off the wifi 6 times a day)… No connectivity issues with the CMF. I’m waiting an OS update (or a repair) to use again my NP3…

I have just updated to the 19 JUL firmware and just so be this happen for the first time. Never happened on the 11 JUL firmware. Only seen it once when I was walked between many buildings with the same WiFi setup (university campus).

I had the Phone two weeks ago and i can’t tell like you if it’s related to a software update. I was on vacations during the first week or use with no wifi (only 4/5G) and not a single issue. Back home and it was an absolute mess with my Wifi 😭.

It seems to be related to a software issue if i follow your explanations (the problem happened after updating your phone). I hope the Nothing team will find a solution ASAP.

nonstop loading if on wifi, not an issue using cellular data. Kinda unacceptable as i skipped pixel 9a because of the old modem

The same happen to me. When it does this = signal drop and apps become laggy and i had to toggle on / off the wifi to work again.

I had factory reset the phone 3 times and the issue seems to have disapeared since last factory reset yesterday (i Hope it will continue working like that). If it doesn’t i will buy a S25 Ultra which is the same price with offers in France 😂.

yea as long as this isnt a hardware defect im sure they will fix it (maybe?) but s25 is a tad too big 😂 i already have a hard time one handling np3

I hope it’s related to software. It’s seems to be but not sure. Yes the S25 Ultra is very big 😂 but i’m very tall and i’m used to big phones. I will keep you in touch if the wifi issues come back.
