No Label for Quick Settings Panel

Cannot see which WiFi or Bluetooth network my phone is connected to without going all the way to the main settings menu.

Just pull the wifi and mobile data toggle to 2×1, then u will c the info. Same to Bluetooth

It is not about Samsung.
It’s about every icon having their label shown. And also, from the label, you can see which network it is connected to (in case of WiFi, Bluetooth. For data, it shows which SIM’s data is being used. And you can shift to another SIM for data without many taps)
Moreover, you can shift to another WiFi network just clicking on the tiny triangle icon next to the label.
However, I have found an way to show the label.
Icons are arranged in grids. Each square box holds an icon.
If I keep the next square box to an icon empty, then an expand icon appears.
By tapping on it, I can make the icon take two square box. Then the label appears.

But not so smart, I would say.

I think it the way it is. Minimal/easy. Horizontal gives me a little more options. Only the important bits show in each use case. Why do I want labels shown, I can memorise 12-20 icons when they are well designed (this should be language-free, hence it’s an icon rather than a string of text).

I also prefer the more minimal style without any text added, as already said: You can easily enlarge some quick settings like Bluetooth, Wifi oder Mobile to show more data.

pixcel25 I’m unsure as I can only test what I have available to me. I do miss the MIUI left and right swipe down feature from my old phone, but, I have rewired my brain to forget about since I bought the CMF1. I use these phones (CMF1/NP3) less than my old Mi 10 Youth Edition, so the lower distraction of NOTHING OS is working in case. This is seen especially after 22.00 when the phone goes full black-and-white and stays that way until I wake at 05.00 (or later like today!!!!)

Enlarging a tile means users have to sacrifice another tile on the first page. The option to add labels to some/all tiles could be helpful.

sean (1) well you said it, if expanding a tile is sacrifice of another one, then adding labels to all the tiles will create a whole new spacing issue. Either the tiles have to be reduced to smaller sizes or if keep the size then that would mean sacrificing an entire row to compensate the spacing.

Lose a row? You seen how much unutilised space there is at the bottom of the drawer on Nothing OS 3.1? They could fit another two rows in (and should)!

I think you misunderstood. What I meant is if users must stretch a tile to 2×1 to reveal its label that would mean users have to remove a tile to make way for the larger tile.

Regarding space, Oxygen OS has an option to show labels and has more tiles in the drawer than Nothing OS currently allows.
