Charging sound randomly plays while charging - help

While charging my nothing phone 3a a random charging connect sound pops every a couple of minutes even though i didnt disconnect the charging, i tried to change the power source and charger but didnt work, it keeps poping random charge connected sound every couple minutes while in charge. Anyone faced this weird bug? And how to solve it?

I face this problem on my np 2a, it happens sometimes when i try to charge my phone. I plug it it and it starts to go back and forth from changing to not changing. I havent yet tried another cable, because im using the original one, and if i try to insert the cable a number of times it eventually stops. The phone wasnt behaving like this a months or so ago tho.

Darius09 Damaged cable, wires are losing contact. Use a different one.

grepGander i ve noticed my cable got this yellowish color going on and im thinking its time to change it, but the thought that it happens sometimes makes me think it might have something to do with the phone s port too

Darius09 Nothing with the port, it’s fine. The cable is dying. Mine also behaved identically and it’s also yellow like I never washed my hands 😁 It’s just a poor quality cable, that’s it. Use a better one and the issue will be gone.

grepGander im gonna check tomorrow the port so that i am 100% sure😭. I am using a 20w power brick, i ve just noticed, could this make the cable turn yellow?

Darius09 No, the cable is just… Bad in quality. That coating will turn yellow even if you didn’t use the cable at all, it’s unavoidable. I have a random cheap €4 100 cm USB C cable for almost five years now, and the thing is still white as that sweet fresh Christmas snow.

Darius09 Get a nice Anker that supports 100W or more, nothing too expensive, but just to be sure that it’s a good quality and that it will serve you long and well with many different devices.

grepGander im already looking for a replacement and i keep seeing these shady 100+W ones for as little as 4 dollars (just the brick).
