mahendiran_tkd_india no you don’t have to do factory reset. I did that to check if my device will be better in using and indeed it is fast.
Nothing OS 2.5 - Open Beta 1 - Phone (1)
- (Edited)
Okay so, I recently installed NOS 2.5 and a quick review, too good. But there are some suggestions I would like to make:
Make circular widgets for pedometer, music player and screen time widget. Also if possible
Add these widgets to the lockscreen too, that would be a great thing.
Unpopular opinion, if possible please make a horizontal widget for the pedometer and also add it to the lockscreen.
The new resigned logos for hotspot and qr scanner look good but it would be great if you add the red colour theme back to the QR code scanner like it was in the previous versions.
Also, hotspot does not show the devices connected, so if you add that it would great.
Overall, I really love the update and also the atmosphere wallpaper addition is just cherry on the top.
Dear company, everyone is aware of the leaked closed beta, next time you will be smarter, but this is your build and people installed it, and you don’t even think about solving this, you can sue for this
Do we have to roll back to stable OS 2.0.5 to get stable OS 2.5 when it releases in future?
MrinalSaharia No. You’ll directly revice the stable version when it is released. So relax you don’t have to opt out of the beta to install the stable version
MrinalSaharia This very particular version is the open beta that is accessible to everyone who owns a NP1. Closed beta program is for select people who test the early versions of the build.
avip6507 thank you, as everyone mentioned nos 2.5 but no one called it as nos 2.5.1, so i was a little confused
JackMoar did you manage
NickMakarov you installed it at your own risk lol. This particular build were for close beta testers. No one force you to installed it.
MaciejSulima lol it’s you
@“Rob ” Degrade the camera quality on 12MP after the nothing os 2.5.1 beta update
mahendiran_tkd_india Bro, 2.5 beta goes update panni irkreenga..??
I have found that if done within a certain small period of time, the fingerprint unlock and face unlock happen together which causes some wierd behaviour.
I have face unlock enabled on my Nothing Phone (1), and I am currently using the 2.5.1 Open Beta. However, this also happened with me on 2.0.5 (I hope that’s the right version) but on 2.0.5, it was more obvious.
To replicate this, pick up the phone, and make sure it opens to the lock screen, so that the camera can start looking for your face. While the phones tries to recognise your face, try unlocking the phone using fingerprint.
If timed correctly, the phone will unlock, but you can feel the usual unlock vibration twice. Once for face unlock, and one for fingerprint unlock.
So far, it does not seem to affect the functioning of any other component.
I have been able to replicate this bug (?), so it definitely isn’t a one-off thing.
It isn’t really a phone-breaking thing, but it’s annoying.
Is anyone else having the same issue?
ZindhaIfhamudheen innum pannala bro. Pannaa factory reset aagirumo nu bayama iruku. Mela oruthar ta I’ve asked and he said reset aagaadhu bayapda venam nu solraru.. enaku enna panradhu nu purilai.
