In Nothing Phone 2, the NFC is on but still I can’t transfer images or links or any thing between Nothing Phone 2 & Nothing Phone 1.

I watched YouTube, they said there’s some other option you have to enable named “Android Beam” to use NFC .

Can Someone please Help.

Prabhuji_swayam NFC is capable of transferring files ? I’m not sure about that but maybe, don’t know how to activate it. You can transfer file through Bluetooth tho to fix temporary the issue.

Daniel changed the title to Unable to transfer files via NFC .

Remi F yess! You can transfer the files using NFC! But I can’t do it in my nothing phone 2….

Please note this down & help me #help

Prabhuji_swayam The reason why you are not able to is because Android Beam is a discontinued feature of Android, hence it is not in NothingOS. You’re probably looking for it’s successor called Nearby Share which is better in every aspect.

Prabhuji_swayam Over the years, NFC has been used for a number of different purposes, but it’s most commonly used for mobile payments. When you tap your Android phone to a terminal to use Google Pay, NFC is what enables that payment to happen. The credit card information is securely communicated over the very short distance.

NFC can also be used to wirelessly transfer data between devices, though this isn’t a very common use-case anymore. One of the coolest things you can do with NFC is utilize programmable tags. NFC tags can be small stickers or little keychain accessories, and you can customize what happens when you tap your phone on one. So lots of customization possible here.

Personally I use it to allow people how are visiting me, to quickly join my Home WiFi network without manually sharing the credentials.

You should try to go into nfc settings and click into NFC Payments and set your payment app on whatever you want to pay with. Tell me if it works btw
