How about an "old person with bad eyesight" functionality / widget?

Do you know how many people cannot easily read text on phone screens? A lot!

If you can come up with an eyesight improvement functionality / widget… so many people would take an interest in your phones starting with my mom (80 and counting).

It can be like a magnifying glass. Beware, there are a lot of apps like that… and they all suck. If a widget (!) made each word in a text message bigger and kept going unless you stopped it, it would be nice. Also, if one could stop it on passwords / PINS, etc. in emails / SMS messages, it would be great.

Isn’t that natively implemented already when you visit Settings > Display > Font and display size?

Anonymous931 Making the font bigger isn’t the same thing. Think about it this way, “I can read most things, but I want to make sure I read a few things perfectly”.

To be honest buying a nothing phone to a 80 years old seems not really a super idea. It’s more kind of a geek phone in beta build… But i can be wrong of course.

Stereobasic why Nothing exactly, when it can be a CMF Phone? It’s still the Nothing OS. And as for me having the same type of mobile at least in OS and UI may help me, for example, to help my grandma understand the phone more as I could give some practical and easy advices from my own experience.

I personally wouldn’t do that, because my grandma already uses a simple clear os realme bought by her son and she got used to it, but it we had a choice right now I’d be obviously happy to her to have Samsung or Nothing device (as our family uses), so I could set it more individually for her as I know the UI of these already. Just another point. And yeah, Nothing OS is simply at all, comparing to One UI or bbk concern phones and it would be easier to navigate through it and do simple tasks.

ErolBozkurt Ah, got it, so just a portion of the display 👍 I believe this is exactly the thing you are looking for as you can customise it to just zoom in on a couple of things and not on a whole screen:

I’m staying with two mid-80s people this week and they’re full Apple and hand-me-downs from kids. The accessibility options and font size increases are quite useful for them. They’re also very, very intuitive to use. I find that on continental Europe most old (80+) people use Apple.
