Nothing Ear (2) battery draining too fast

Hallo allerseits, Ich benutze seit ungefähr 1,5 Jahren mein Nothing Ohr (2) und seit einigen Monaten habe ich ein ernstes Problem mit der Akkulaufzeit bemerkt. Ohne ANC dauern die Ohrhörer nur ungefähr 1 Stunde, bevor ich sie in den Fall zurücksetzen muss. Mit ANC ist es noch schlimmer. Dies fühlt sich viel zu kurz an, verglichen mit dem, was sie früher geliefert haben (ungefähr 4 bis 6 Stunden, wenn sie neu sind). Ich verstehe, dass sich die Gesundheit der Batterie im Laufe der Zeit verschlechtert, aber ist es normal, dass das Ohr (2) innerhalb weniger als 2 Jahre so viel fallen lässt? Einige Details: Verwendung: Meistens tägliches, moderates Hören (nicht maximales Volumen). ANC: Normalerweise halte ich es fern, aber jetzt noch kaum 1 Stunde. Der Fall berechnet immer noch gut, aber die Knospen lassen sich extrem schnell ab. Fragen: 1 \. Ist dies ein bekanntes/gemeinsames Problem mit dem Ohr (2)? 2 \. Gibt es eine Korrektur (wie die Neukalibrierung des Akkus der Batterie, das Reset -Software- oder Firmware -Update)? 3 \. Bietet Nothing Batterieersatz/-service für Ohrhörer? 4 \. Oder ist die einzige Option, sie vollständig zu ersetzen? Würde gerne von jemandem hören, der sich dem gleichen Problem gegenübersieht oder eine Lösung gefunden hat.

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using my Nothing Ear (2) for about 1.5 years now, and since a few months I’ve noticed a serious issue with the battery life. Without ANC, the earbuds only last around 1 hour before I have to put them back in the case. With ANC it’s even worse.

This feels way too short compared to what they used to deliver (around 4–6 hours when new). I understand that battery health degrades over time, but is it normal for the Ear (2) to drop this much within less than 2 years?

Some details:

Usage: Mostly daily, moderate listening (not max volume).

ANC: I usually keep it off, but still barely 1 hour playback now.

Case still charges fine, but buds drain extremely quickly.

Questions:

1. Is this a known/common issue with Ear (2)?

2. Is there any fix (like battery recalibration, software reset, or firmware update)?

3. Does Nothing offer battery replacement/service for earbuds?

4. Or is the only option to replace them completely?

Would love to hear from anyone facing the same issue or who found a solution.

ShiveshChauhan same problem with my Ear (a) that drown to 80% / 70% in 2 minutes.
I got them for 1y and used the same ways of yours.

ShiveshChauhan Same problem, using Nothing Ear(2) TWS from 1y, facing serious battery drain, can’t use for more than 15mins, left ear phone is draining way too faster. Got them for 7K and regretting now that they are not worth. Never gonna buy Nothing products again.

Even I am experiencing the same thing, took that to a service centre they said since this is unrepairable product and also warranty is only for 1 year (I took it to service centre after 1.5 years) they cannot do anything for it. Even I am helpless state. Not at heart to abandon 9k rupees earphones in 1.5 ears. Meanwhile my realme buds qt is still playing fine which my mom is using happily these were for 1300 rs.

They used M9450S1 3.85V 33mAh battery which has only 500 cycles. This battery is not available to purchase here and the people who replaced on their own with 3.7V batteries are facing the battery drain issues after some days..

SivSan Only 500 cycles on a product that remains permanently charged to 100% in the box….recipe for disaster

I’m facing the same issue. In my case, it started within just six months of purchase. When I took the earbuds to the service centre, they were rejected due to a minor scuff on the case. The battery had already started draining even before I dropped them, yet the service centre refused to repair them. I’m a college student who saved for six months to buy my first pair of Nothing earphones, especially since I already use the Nothing Phone (1). It’s really disappointing that the earbuds didn’t even last as long as the time I spent saving for them. Plus lemme know if the battery replacement is possible even if it costs 1k or 2. I really liked the product, but I was disheartened by this experience.

YoLo If the product is only six months old and you’re facing such a serious issue, you should contact customer support first. If the problem still isn’t resolved, then escalate it on social media with proper evidence.

A minor scuff mark has absolutely nothing to do with this battery drain issue everyone knows that.

Still, if you haven’t already, try performing a proper reset or repair before taking further steps.

Wish- I was advised to visit the nearest service centre. However, it was quite far from my college, and I was busy with college work, so I couldn’t go earlier. When I came to my hometown for my semester break, I took the device to the service station, and that’s when they informed me of the issue. I am attaching pictures of the damage; please let me know if this damage voids the warranty or repair.

I’m sorry about the device being dirty, though I wasn’t using it, I kept it safely on my table, hoping it would work someday. It still charges, and one side works, but the other side has completely stopped working, which is why it’s not pairing

i’ve been using nothing ear (2) since it first released, and only last for less than a year. I had to claim the warranty because the battery issue draining so fast on one of my buds, and they replaced it with the new one. but only year after, i faced the same battery issue that drain my right buds from 100% to 10% only 15 minutes. i used it as normal usage, never overcharge it, or even using it until completely empty, i always keep 20% to charge and i thought this is very normal usage, but the battery is still the main issue and i don’t know if this the product that i received or it’s just it is same as everyone elses. i just had no idea what happen but i rarely using it often.
