I experienced a one-time issue on my Nothing Phone 3a: after switching from adaptive brightness to manual, the screen went completely black, while the phone itself (Bluetooth, vibration, audio) kept working. A forced restart temporarily restored the display, but it went black again after booting. I was able to get into Safe Mode, but only by accident—it’s extremely difficult to trigger reliably without a working display (or is there a method without using the screen?)
I couldn’t reproduce the issue consistently, and I had switched brightness before without problems. It seems like a sporadic bug in the brightness or display driver. Has anyone else experienced this?
