NETWORK CONNECTIVITY BUG After AUGUST 27 UPDATE – NOTHING PHONE (1)
Hello Nothing Support Team,
Myself and All Nothing Phone 1 users (Confirmed on Telegram Group 5000+ Users) facing a serious network connectivity issue on Nothing Phone (1) after installing the latest update (Nothing OS 3.2 – Build Spacewar-V3.2-250804-2110, released on 27 August 2025).
Issue Summary:
1. Before the update, the device used to show 5G++ (Carrier Aggregation) on Jio and I was getting proper high-speed internet.
2. After the update, the device only shows 5G+ and the data speed has become almost unusable (sometimes <1 Mbps) even with full signal strength.
3. I tested the same Jio SIM in another phone (POCO F6) → there it shows 5G++ and works perfectly with good speeds.
Additional Observations:
1. On Jio 5G, NetMonster shows the device stuck on SA n28 (700 MHz) only. There is no aggregation happening with n78 (which used to work earlier).
2. On Jio 4G, Carrier Aggregation (2CC) still works. NetMonster shows LTE-A 2300 + 2300, and speed is fine.
3. This confirms the bug is specific to 5G aggregation after the August 27 update.
Troubleshooting Already Done:
1. Reinserted SIM multiple times
2. Tried with another SIM slot
3. Complete factory reset
4. Contacted Jio Support (they confirmed no issue on their side)
4. Verified the SIM in another 5G phone (POCO F6) where it works fine
Impact:
Currently, 5G internet is unusable on my Nothing Phone (1) after the update, while 4G is working normally. This issue makes the phone unreliable for daily use.
Request:
Please escalate this to the network/modem team and provide a hotfix in the next OTA. The Nothing Phone (1) is still under its promised support period till July 2026, and stable 5G functionality is critical for users.
