My concept does intentionally push things further, while the official Phone (3) keeps a smart balance of design and practicality. It’ll be exciting to see how Nothing shapes the Phone (4). This was created just for fun, and I’d love to hear your thoughts or suggestions in the comments!

The £799 price point is the deal winner. That is an inexpsinve pricepoint these days.

I appreciate its a bit of fun, personally, I think the actual phone 3 spec and design is ideal, as opposed to the concept wish list. IMHO. I own a 3a pro and whilst I feel that the spec of the NP3 is impressive and offers good value (I particularly would like UFS 4.0 on my 3a Pro) As a daily driver, I see no value in a higher technical spec, as I probably would not realise the difference or benefit from my personal usage or needs. I think someone also on this site recently proved that the photo images/results were consistently more impressive taken from the 3a Pro. The only change I would make from your list is the Glyph lights, these along with the transparent back are essentially key design aspects which separates Nothing from the mainstream device manufacturers and has a result proved to be what buyers most love. Also these features are what makes Nothing devices instantly recognisable. The NP2a for example sold 100,000 on its launch day, whilst the CMF1 sold as many in the first 3 hours!. Budget and mid range devices seem to be Nothing’s niche, although I personally like the NP3 removing the glyph lights just may prove a design error, particularly at a period of market growth and acceptance with their unique glyph lights, transparent back and bloat free, customisable software. I think the NP3 design looks a closer iteration from the CMF family of devices and perhaps should have named it “CMF2 Ultra” I still like the design though!

Fair points! That said, the concept I shared is actually my own design, and my main goal was to spark a conversation around it. The comparison with the official Phone (3) is just a secondary part of the discussion for me. What I’m really curious about is people’s thoughts on my concept and how you’d like to see the design evolve for the upcoming Nothing Phone (4).

I’ve tried to keep the core Nothing identity as it is, while offering a fresh take on transparency.

Yeah, £799 might seem steep, but Nothing’s clearly going for premium now. Between the Glyph matrix, solid build, and that camera setup, they’re not trying to compete on price but on the experience. Maybe they’ll give us something that worth with the phone 4.
