Why Nothing Team has removed the Nothing Launcher from Play Store for all Phone 1 Users😔 Is it a temporary Bug or its removed knowingly by nothing team? We still have nearly 1 year of Security Patch updates remaining for Nothing Phone 1 , so i hope Nothing keep up its promise n give us all regular updates like they give to all other Nothing Series Phone’s.

SumaKhan_ That’s interesting. I mean, it’s technically true, software support has ended, but it’s weird how the launcher straight up says that. I wonder what would happen if the phone was reset, does the launcher go with it?

Still 1 Year of Security Patch Updates remaining. 3 years OS Update Completed now 4 Years Security Patch, 1 more year remaining till August 2026. So removing Launcher updates from Play Store is pretty bad.

It’s highly possible Team is preparing the transition to OS 4.0 which will require a specific launcher version not available for Phone (1), rest assured that the latest launcher version is built into the firmware and any further update will probably be distributed that way.

Could you please share which Android version & region of your device ?

This can happen in below conditions, as far as I understand:

App target version is not been updated to last update within a year. Since the target version in playstore seems to be Android 15. This condition may not be the issue.
Minimum version of app is greater than your device’s android version.
App has been discontinued in your region.

Please share the details to analyse the reason. Thanks

AdarshRevankar I’m on the latest version of Nothing Phone 1 build on 4th August 2025. It has August Security Patch and Nothing Launcher Updated to latest version as on 31st August 2025. The Next Update of September 3rd it was not received on Phone 1 as it was removed from Play Store. Indian Region. Its removed for all users as confirmed in Telegram Group. Upon Asking to Nothing team, they said the newer versions are now developed for Upcoming Nothing OS 4.0 Beta .

Nothing is Messing up and creating even at Its early steps fragmentation and leftovers.

Anyways nothing to write home about, It’s expected to get nothing from nothing…

Glad I held back and skipped NP3 , today is my BDay and tomorrow I’m getting my new device which is NOT nothing (I won’t disclose).

Nothing team …it is not acceptable. Don’t forget Nothing 1 users are your milestones for the Nothing. Don’t do it with us . Technically and koyaly speaking we are deserve for Nothing OS 4 and Android 16. We all are waited and expected this updates.

SINDHEG dude. on launch they said they will give 3 major and 4 security updates. why you crying now? you bought phone without knowing the updates? and how it is not acceptable? which other phone at that time gave 5 OS updates with that price? you cant just wake up and say I want android 16 😂😭
since the launch they said it will be till android 15. where were you till now?

it could be possible that some of the features require something that’s not available in the NP1, so they don’t want to ruin your phone and are working on it. but if it’s just because the “update” validity has expired for the NP1, then this is pure evil. i still get app (mi apps) updates on my 7 yr old xiaomi phone. who stops app updates anyway?
