There is one annoying quirk that had me scratching my head: initially I set the “When to start” setting to “While docked and charging” because I wanted to only use my phone as a bedside clock when docked to the Qi station. Unfortunately the phone does not seem to detect it is on the station, meaning that even though it is charging the clock just never comes on…
I was forced to switch to “While charging” and this got it to work (i.e. it shows the clock when I put it on the charging station).
I do wonder why it does not detect the docking station. Is there a compatibility issue? Honestly I would have liked check-boxes to select multiple options instead of a radio button, they could have check-boxes with:
- When powered by USB
- When powered by Qi charger
- When powered by compatible dock (whatever this is)
- …
This way you would be able to tick the options you want (I would select the Qi charger option only).
