Upon waking up this morning, I was dismayed to find my phone stuck in crash dump mode. This unfortunate situation led to the critical alarm I had set being completely missed. I am perplexed and frustrated by the extent of the operating system issues that led to this inconvenience. The experience has left me questioning the reliability of this phone, and I’ve decided that I won’t be considering purchasing any devices from this brand again. It’s disheartening when a technical glitch disrupts such important aspects of daily life, and I expected better performance from a device that I rely on daily. i buy my nothin 2 yesterday and have the same problem my phone just randomly get the crash dumpmode (mini) and reboots is this a software problem or sould i try the worenty ?????

White using my Phone 2, phone suddenly stucked and switched off. A message appears like Nothing Crash Dump Mode. After some seconds phone restarted and came to normal. Is this an issue or whatt? Did anyone experienced this ? I’ve attached an image taken from Google

JefRoftin This happened once with me too. But there’s nothing to worry about. The crash dump mode is actually a safety feature that initiates by itself when the system thinks that there’s a critical issue so as to prevent further damage to the phone as well as the data on the phone. It should have created a dump file somewhere (I don’t know where it gets saved) that can be used to analyse what was the issue. However, if it keeps on happening repeatedly then there must be some problem with your phone and you should visit a service centre to have it checked.

This happened to me just now too. Tried to reset it (held power button down) and got a screen saying ‘No command’ with the android symbol. It seems fine now though.

Ive just had this happen to my nothing phone, it stayed on this screen with no other information and wouldn’t restart itself, I had issues with the nothing phone 1, and now the nothing phone 2 I don’t have much confidence left in the Nothing brand at all, thankfully I managed to get my phone to restart but it took a few hours, not happy and I probably won’t by again from Nothing

Anyone else had tech support ask for remote access to laptop and phone to install a ROM after contacting them after the crash dump screen

scottferguson why new rom flashing?? Just reboot… its work fine! My phone 2 stuck 3 more time in crash dump mode… but no problems after reboot

This is what nothing tech have stated in a message after reporting the dump fault,they have said ,book an appointment through WhatsApp, and they will remotely flash a ROM that fixes the fault,I’m asking if anyone else has given remote access to nothing techs and had this done

Out of nowhere this popped up on my screen. Even after restarting it, it still says the same problem

tomytar Crash dump mode usually points to a hardware issue, most commonly related to the CPU. In rare cases, if you’re lucky, it can be triggered by corrupted firmware and flashing the official stock ROM might bring the device back to life. That said, most of the time it’s a hardware failure.

The typical fix at an authorized service center is a full motherboard replacement. Some third-party repair shops may attempt CPU reballing, which can sometimes revive the phone, but results vary and it’s not always a permanent solution.
I’d recommend trying to flash the stock ROM first since it’s low risk and easy to rule out software issues. If that doesn’t resolve it, you’re likely looking at a motherboard-level repair or, more realistically, replacing the phone altogether.

Hi everyone,

I have a Nothing Phone (2) which has started randomly going into NOTHING CrashDump Mode (minidump).

The screen shows:

Sometimes it gets stuck on this screen. After trying multiple force restarts, it may eventually boot and work normally again, but the issue keeps returning.

I have contacted Nothing Customer Service, but my phone is now out of warranty and the support so far has not been very helpful.

I have attached photos of both the CrashDump screen and the recovery/Android screen that sometimes appears.

Could anyone please advise:

Has anybody had the same issue on a Phone (2)?

Is this likely to be caused by the latest Nothing OS update, or does it sound like a hardware fault?

Is there a safe way to check logs or identify the reset reason?

Can it be repaired or reflashed without wiping the phone? I need to back up my data first.

Has anyone managed to fix this permanently?

At the moment, I am trying to back up everything whenever the phone successfully boots.

Nothing phone 2. Just recently bought. Woke up to this annoying screen. Whats the issue. Had to restart then phone my pressing the power button for 5 secs. Not good for the bran
