Just watched the Beebom video, where they tested the battery life of several phones alongside the Nothing Phone 3. And the Nothing Phone 3 came dead last. The issue with battery life is not only with the phones, it’s clearly with Nothing OS optimization. A phone with a 5500 mAh battery shouldn’t be performing worse than devices with much smaller batteries.
The iPhone 16, with its superior optimization, outlasted the Nothing Phone 3 and came out on top (slowest to lose 1000 mAh of battery). I have been emailing the Nothing team since I bought the Nothing Phone 3a. They asked me for my device log file, I sent them 48 hours worth of log data, but their response was that nothing is wrong with my phone. My question is simple: if my phone has no issue, how does it still lose 10% battery overnight while idle?( I don’t keep any background activity on my phone while going to sleep. I also don’t play any games and no heavy app is installed on my phone also i only use my phone for 4 to 5 hours daily. I even tried sleeping with airplane mode on, but nothing changed) That alone proves the problem isn’t hardware related the software needs serious fixing. ( Cause the keep emailing me to send my phone for inspection)
I want to be clear: I am not here to hate on Nothing. I bought this phone with my own hard-earned money, because I trusted the brand and believed in their vision. But this is a serious issue affecting real users daily, and it cannot be brushed aside any longer. If a 5500 mAh battery cannot match - or at least come close to

the endurance of smaller batteries on competing devices, then the optimization problem is undeniable.
I sincerely urge the Nothing engineering team to treat this as a priority issue and deliver a fix through proper software updates. Otherwise, more users will lose confidence in Nothing products, no matter how unique the design language is.
