Hello Community folks, I’m khushal Jain and I got an opportunity to experience the CMF by Nothing Phone 2 Pro through the Community Review Program. I have been daily driving this phone ever since the launch of the phone. In this thread I will be sharing my experience with it. So without further ado, let’s dive in 🏊🏻♀️

What’s in the box? 📦
This is my favourite part about the phone, the brand has went all in, and included everything a user would need in the box.

- CMF Phone 2 Pro 📱
- Data Cable C - C⚡
- 33W CMF Power Adaptor 🔌
- Screen Protector (Pre-Aplied)📔
- Protective Cover 💼
I really appreciate the brand for listening to community feedback and including a Power Adaptor this time around. I wish they do this for future Nothing and CMF products as well.
You can watch my Unboxing video here.

Design 👀
It’s slim, at only 7.8mm width, it feels just so light in hand. Idk it’s the weight distribution or what!? But great job there Nothing 😉

The Phone comes with the Typical CMF Phone Styling, but unlike the last gen’s phone the back cover can’t be removed, but what you can do is slap in another case on it, to which you can attach more accessories.

Charging time and How well it holds up? 🔋
So I have been using this phone for about 4 months now and i have performed few Tests ever since to test the charging time. It takes usually 77-79 minutes to go from 0-100%.
Here is the breakup from the recent test that I performed on the phone.
| Charging Time | Battery Charged |
| 10m | 16% |
| 20m | 29% |
| 30m | 44% |
| 40m | 56% |
| 50m | 69% |
| 60m | 82% |
| 70m | 94% |
| 78m | 100% |
How well it holds up?
The battery life is pretty good on this Phone. I have been daily driving this phone for about 4 months now. I would charge the phone up to 90% and end the day with 20-30% left with average usage of Social Media - Scrolling, chatting, Content Consumption, editing - Canva, Snapseed, Data Transfer, sharing Hotspot etc… While using the phone, the battery has been quite good, I never felt battery anxiety ever, using this phone.
Here is the SOT of my recent usage, which included average usage as mentioned above.

Cameras 📸
The phone features a 50 MP main sensor, 50 MP 2x Telephoto, and an 8 MP Ultra wide.
During my course of use, I have enjoyed clicking portraits the most with it’s 2x lens.
Here are some of my favorites ⬇️

I was also fortunate enough to test the cameras, before the launch of the phone. In the below X thread, I have posted all the photos, I have shot during that time ⬇️
Here are some more photos I have shot with this Phone 🤳🏻

Expert Mode 📸
I shot this picture while I was Drafting this review, when I was out for a dinner, thought I will include 😅

The camera performance is really good, and have been fine tuned a lot ever since the launch.
Only complaint here is that the Phone doesn’t come with OIS, it comes with EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) So you will need pretty stable hands to shoot something.

Performance ⚡
It comes with the Mediatek Dimensity 7300 Pro. While I don’t game, for my other usage the phone’s performace was very satisfactory.
Didn’t feel slow whatsoever, editing, Canva, Switching between apps. Even right now, I’m drafting this review on the CMF Phone (2) Pro, editing stuff on Snapseed, going through Old Tweets to get camera samples, checking and replying to messages, the phone just feels fast and smooth, no jitters, no stutters whatsoever. Just great.

Nothing OS ✨ - Looks great, works great

What makes this phone a great deal is it’s OS
It’s running on NOS 3.2, as i draft this review, and it’s just so smooth so fluid, with all the goodness of Nothing OS. I have used the Nothing Phone (3) for over a month to review it, and then I switched back to CMF Phone 2 Pro, while the Phone (3) comes with a much powerful processor, switching back to CMF Phone 2 Pro didn’t feel a beat. The Operating System is just so well optimised, and it’s a great deal.
I had to pass down my old CMF Phone 2 Pro, to my sister, and she is absolutely loving the phone. The aesthetics are just unmatched.

Final Thoughts
CMF Phone 2 Pro is a well balanced phone with some compromises here and there.
The Phone comes with a Single Bottom Firing Speaker, if you are someone who have used phones with Stereo Speakers, it won’t take you long to notice the difference. While I feel, they have made the speaker’s output better with updates, than they were in the begining, they still just feel pretty meh.
The Phone doesn’t come with NFC, the global variant has it. The indian variants got Charger in the box instead. Now I’m someone who has never really used NFC, and if I have to trade it with Charger in the box, i would choose the latter anyday. If you are someone who uses NFC a lot, then maybe this phone isn’t for you.
Apart from these two things, it’s a solid recommendation for sub 17-21k budget range.
A great phone for people who are looking for a fun design, smooth bloatware free software experience, a 2x Telephoto Camera, Presets etc.
The CMF Phone 2 Pro is retailing for 21,999 (256 GB) on Flipkart and the price is expected to drop even further during the Flipkart’s BBD Sale, and I think it will be a solid buy for the discounted Price.
