I would’ve liked a proper office chair and widescreen monitors.

I’m not sure many of us probably had the most suitable chairs to work from home 9-5, mine certainly wasn’t well equipped and I had to stand up so much to stretch my back.

A focus assist tool. WFH doesn’t remove distractions from me, it puts me in a quiet place where I’m more easily led off task. I work better where I have people who can interrupt with their tasks related issues or ask questions, or where situational changes in the physical environment break up the day. Now, what that focus tool looks like? I don’t know. Timer? Soft glowing light that changes based on calendar events?

You are on point!

Great camera + audio. In remote first corporate world that would make a big difference. To be heard and seen clearly makes you stand out. Seems really weird that ‘good’ cameras have 5+ years and market doesn’t have anything sensible.

We work remotely but don’t want to be lost in the background and known only as avatar. Applies to new joiners especially.

Actually it made me realize that good camera should be part of onboarding toolkit you receive alongside your laptop and headset.

I couldn’t find anything good enough for sensible price.
