Switched back to the CMF Phone 2 Pro after almost 2 months, and I’m genuinely impressed with the improvements after the updates
Here’s a quick review of what’s changed and what stands out.
Design🔥
The Phone feels light in hand and is an absolute head turner especially the orange variant. It’s bold, vibrant and stands out with the dual tone design and functional screws. The triple cameras are aligned well surrounded by aluminium rings adding a bit of a premium touch and durability.

Display📱
The 6′77 inch AMOLED screen is bright and accurate in colours and is visible outdoors even in harsh sunlight. It feels fluid with the 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and the haptics are surprisingly impressive for a budget phone.
Camera 📷
The primary 1/1.57″ sensor is large and captures images with good details and accurate colors. Low light isn’t the strong point but is still decent. The ultrawide shots come out great as well in good lighting but lacks details in some cases.

The telephoto offers 2x optical zoom and upto 20x digital and the portrait shots come out really well in most cases. The lack of OIS is noticable but acceptable in this segment. Overall, this is the best camera setup you’ll find in Phones under 20k

The biggest improvement I’ve noticed is in the photo output. Most of the issues present at launch have now been addressed and fixed with the updates especially the color accuracy and portrait shots.

Performance and Battery ⚡
The phone feels snappy and responsive, with no jitters or lags in regular usage or multitasking. Memory management is well optimised, and gaming performance is solid with hardly any frame drops. I did notice occasional stutters while capturing photos during longer sessions. I did not observe significant heating issues even after extensive usage
The battery life is solid with 7-8 hours of screen time consistently and last a day easily with heavy usage. With moderate use, it easily lasts for a couple of days. The charger is included in the box and takes around 1.5 hours to fully charge.
Software 🌐
The Nothing OS 3.2 on top of A15 delivers a clean, minimal bloatware free experience and that’s rare in this segment. The UI feels polished especially after the updates with smooth animations. The Essential key provides good utility. To get the same software as on the flagship is certainly commendable.
If you’re on a tight budget and want a phone with a distinctive design, great camera performance, clean software, and solid battery life, this is a great option. During the Flipkart BBD sale, if it drops to around ₹15–16K, it would be an absolute steal deal
